UK屈指のジャズ・ファンク・バンド、ダウン・トゥ・ザ・ボーン（DTTB）。1996年にプロデューサーのステュアート・ウェイドがクリス・モーガンズ（現在は脱退）と立ち上げたバンドがその始まりで、''97年にファースト・アルバムを発表して以来、ジャズとファンクをミックスさせた刺激的な作品をコンスタントに送り出してきた。メンバーは流動的だが、途中、元ブラン・ニュー・ヘヴィーズのメンバーも参加するなど、UKアシッド・ジャズの流れを汲むグループとしてもお馴染みだ。アメリカのジャズ・チャートでも健闘している彼らは今年、これまでのキャリアを総括したベスト盤に続いて、ロイ・エアーズやヒル・ストリート・ソウルをゲストに迎えた新作『Supercharged』（EMIミュージック・ジャパン）を発表。シャカタクからインコグニートのファンまでを惹きつけるに違いないDTTBのファンキーでグルーヴィなサウンドを生で体感したい。
